Providing counseling services to those who have experienced trauma, which is any emotional wound. Examples of trauma include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Physical or sexual abuse or assault
- War and natural disasters
- Exposure to violence
- Emotional abuse or mistreatment
- Bullying
- Unmet emotional needs, even by those with good intentions
- Betrayal and abandonment
Perhaps you are trying to cope with waves of sadness, feelings of low hope, or lack of motivation. Maybe your anxiety is getting in the way of living life the way you want. Difficulty sleeping or nightmares may be wreaking havoc. A complicated relationship with yourself may cause you to feel like your own worst enemy at times. Trouble navigating relationships may be adding to feelings of loneliness. Having a hard time understanding emotions may leave you feeling confused. Inner barriers to standing up for yourself in a healthy, balanced way may lead to resentment. Self- sabotaging thoughts and behaviors are keeping you stuck.

Meeting you where you are
Part of my role as a therapist is getting a sense of where you are in your journey and meeting you there. I make an effort to understand your perspective, help you make sense of what you are going through, and collaborate with you to determine what will best meet your needs.
Foundation for healing
In the earliest stages of our work together, I will assist you in developing practical coping skills you can use in day- to- day life as a foundation for the deeper work of learning to love, respect, and accept yourself. Through my process with you, we will use strategies to better manage your emotions. I firmly believe in your innate ability to heal and hope to show you the way.
My hope for you
My goal for you is that you will no longer feel overwhelmed, burnt out, or trapped emotionally in a cage of the past. You should feel supported, validated, and heard as well as confident that you are working with someone who has a roadmap and plan to help you get where you would like to be. This can lead to the confidence needed to make positive changes in your life.
